Post Office Operative

  • We currently have an opportunity for a Post Office Operative to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual to join a world leading food and facilities management company, which can offer unrivalled opportunities for career progression.

 

 

 

Role Responsibility

As a Post Office Operative you will be responsible for:

  • Opening, sorting, date stamping; recording; and distributing all incoming mail direct to end users
  • Ensuring post is distributed to the correct department and contact
  • Operation of APC, DHL & TNT booking software
  • You will be responsible for signing packages received and entering barcode onto Postroom system then distributing them correctly across the business
  • Using computer software for booking, delivering and sending of internal & external cheques
  • Dealing with all postal queries
  • Informing the client of any delays in mail deliveries.
  • Collecting post at the end of the day and ensuring it is correctly franked for despatch
  • Assist in the Staff Shop to printing invoices and pack orders for despatch
  • Keeping all desk name plates up to date
  • Develop strong professional relationships with customers of all levels
  • Assist with Community notice board
  • Collection of Franchise Invoicing with Folding and Filling envelopes for delivery
  • Monitoring all above with costs and reports and billing
  • Any other reasonable management work request

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate for this role will have:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
