Job Introduction

Role Responsibility

To transfer controlled and uncontrolled drugs in a safe and appropriate manner to and from the wards and departments as directed by pharmacy staff
To comply with Trust policies on receipt and distribution of drugs and all pharmacy related items to include correct security
To comply with correct procedures for the handling and storage of temperature sensitive items
To return unused and part used items to the pharmacy as directed in a secure and safe manner
To assist new starter inductions on the ‘buddy’ programme
Respond to and complete tasks scheduled or on request as per company policy within specified time frames
To carry out all duties in compliance with Health & Safety legislation, including the Health Act 2006
