11.50 Hours a week done over 2 days. We will require you to work every Wednesday  but the rest of the hours you can choose which other day of the week you would like to work and if you would like to work morning or afternoon.

£7744.93 per annum (basic salary £6601.33 plus London Weighting £1143.60 per annum )

Job Introduction 


HMP Bronzefield are currently recruiting for a Personal Assistant / Admin to Prison Director  to provide comprehensive general administration support to the Director.

Awarded a bronze accreditation by Investors in People, HMP YOI Bronzefield focuses on providing needs-based services and programmes aimed at rehabilitating and maintaining the well-being of prisoners. HMP YOI Bronzefield is an all-female prison that can hold up to 542 women. Working in a prison might not be what you think. Main Responsibilities

  • Maintain all appropriate records and documentation. 
  • All administration duties to support the Director.
  • Maintain all required databases.
  • Raise purchase orders as required.
  • Act as a VCP (Vetting Contact Point) responsible for meeting with applicants, checking the security clearance forms have been correctly completed and that identification documents are thoroughly verified, copied, endorsed, actioned and accurate records are maintained.
  • Identity Checker for the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) forms and key contact for any queries or questions on either the DBS or the Security Clearance Forms. 
  • Monitor and oversee all filing and ensure that record systems are kept up-to-date and stored securely.
  • Responsible for all administrative duties as required by the Manager, ensuring the function is run efficiently and cost effectively when performing work as required and planned.
  • Abide by the corporate strategic directions, Contract Delivery Indicators, MoJ/NOMS service specifications and all appropriate Regulations and Health and Safety Policies.
  • Co-ordinate external and independent audits.
  • To answer and respond to telephone enquiries and correspondence within the required timeframes.
  • To act as a minute taker for those meetings you are allocated by your Line Manager.
