Patient Meal Ordering Assistant

Job Introduction

As a Patient Meal Ordering Assistant at Sodexo in Doncaster Royal Infirmary, you are critical to ensuring that we provide excellent all-around service for our patents. Your daily interaction with patients on the ward, helps to alleviate some of the stress that is often associated with hospitalisation. Join Sodexo and be part of something greater. What you’ll do:

  • Chatting with patients and taking food orders
  • Arranging / presenting food in an attractive way
  • Clearing of all used cutlery and crookery
  • Loading and operating the dishwash
  • Ensure the pantry / service areas are maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness
  • Maintain the pantry and service areas to the highest level of cleanliness.

What you bring: 

  • Approachable, compassionate, and friendly personality
  • Team player with and superb communication skills   
  • Previous experience in a similar role a bonus, but a can-do attitude and complete customer focus will tick the box  
  • Food hygiene level 2 or above would be great, but don’t worry if you don’t have this we are still keen to hear from you

Package Description

  • 12.5hrs per week
  • Working:  7.30am to 10.00am on a rolling rota, 5 days over 7
  • £9.90 per hour
  • Park & Ride free to staff from Doncaster Race Course
