As a Patient Dining Manager with Sodexo, you are also a nutrition advocate, and quality of life improver. Working at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, you play an important role leading in the provision of prompt meal services, brightening the day of those in patient care and making a positive impact in their daily lives. 

In this exciting management role, your focus will be on the responsibility for the provision of patient dining ensuring the standard of food throughout the service is maintained for patients.

We are therefore seeking an experienced people manager and excellent communicator who can confidently liaise with Trust ward staff and management teams whilst managing your own team.

What you'll do:

• Managing the delivery of the Catering Services including leading and managing a large team to achieve budgetary and performance targets. 
• To support the General Manager for Patient Services, ensuring a program of continuous service development is at the heart of all catering services.
• To always deliver the services in line with the monitoring processes, contractual service specifications and performance standards.
• Build relationships with the Trust Estates and Facilities Team to develop a mutual respect on service delivery and quality matters.

What you bring:

• Strong operational background in Catering services inclusive of Health & Safety, Food Safety ideally with experience in healthcare 
• Minimum of level 3 food safety, willing to work towards level 4 food safety. 
• Knowledge of EHO requirements for a hospital environment
• Experience of working in a food-based industry.
• Proven experience of managing a diverse workforce within a service environment. 
• Proven experience of managing to budget requirements within a catering service. 
• Experienced in training and development of staff.
