Part Time Facilities Coordinator

Job Introduction

  • 20 hours per week
  • 1 day 10:00 - 14:00 working onsite 
  • 4 days 18:00 - 22:00 Working from home - Flexibility required due to workload demand particularly at weekends
  • Site based first 6 weeks 10:00 - 14:00 for training
  • 6 Months Fixed Term Contract
  • £12.21 per hour

Job Introduction:

Sodexo is seeking a proactive and highly organised Facilities Co-ordinator to join our dynamic team at Merville Barracks, Circular Road South, Colchester supporting a diverse defence engineering and FM environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong background in facilities coordination and CAFM systems to play a key role in ensuring our maintenance and support services run smoothly and efficiently.

What you’ll do:

  • Ensuring the successful completion and worksheet sign-off of all planned and reactive maintenance tasks.

  • Processing Reactive and Planned Maintenance worksheets using the CAFM system.

  • Administering and updating records within the CAFM system with accuracy and timeliness.

  • Demonstrating flexibility in adjusting priorities to meet operational needs.

  • Supporting the Helpdesk Co-ordinator and management team by responding to reasonable requests.

  • Maintaining excellent client and customer relationships both internally and externally.

  • Following all Sodexo processes, procedures, and policies diligently.

  • Communicating effectively with your line manager, team members, customers, and the client organisation.

What you bring:

  • Proven experience using CAFM systems in a facilities or engineering environment.

  • Ability to thrive under pressure and handle multiple demands effectively.

  • Strong decision-making skills based on own knowledge and initiative.

  • Excellent organisational skills with a high attention to detail.

  • Strong IT proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office and database software.

  • Professional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A team player with a self-motivated approach.

  • A smart and presentable appearance.

  • Willingness to work flexibly, including outside of core hours when required.

  • A good basic education with GCSEs in Maths and English.
