Part Time Evening Cleaner

Location: Edinburgh- EH2 4BL
Hours/Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off- 19.25hours per week
Rate Of Pay- £13.90 plus Sodexo benefits
About the Role:
Sodexo are seeking a dedicated Cleaning Operative to join our team in Edinburgh- EH2 4BL. This is a high-profile corporate and retail site,renowned for delivering exceptional standards. As a Cleaning Operative, youwill play a vital role in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environmentfor both employees and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete daily cleaning tasks during core business hours to ensure full site access.
- Maintain exemplary standards in line with company policies and values.
- Follow instructions from the Cleaning Manager to deliver an efficient and effective cleaning service.
- Prioritise and respond to tasks as required.
- Complete and submit necessary reports related to cleaning activities.
- Understand client requirements to meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed accurately.
- Report faults or defects immediately to your line manager.
- Complete all required training and adhere to Sodexo cleaning procedures and SOPs.
- Assist with fire evacuations as needed.
- Wear correct uniform and maintain high standards of personal presentation.
- Report safety observations and near misses.
- Be flexible and available for major events on site.
Person Specification:
- Ability to build good client and customer relationships
- Good communication skills
- Previous cleaning experience in a business, corporate, high-end retail, or events environment
- Ability to prioritise and complete tasks
- Ability to respond to varied tasks from customers and colleagues
- Good knowledge of health and safety
- Understanding of cleaning in a busy environment
- Adherence to Sodexo health and safety and equal opportunity regulations
Ability to write accurate, legible operational reports
