We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive professional Painter to join our team at Royal Stoke Hospital, responsible for the completion of contractual documentation with a focus on maintaining the financial success of each contract. In addition, this role will provide vital support to the Hard Facilities Management (FM) team by assisting in the maintenance of the hospital estate. The successful candidate will play a key role in establishing and managing efficient and effective compliance review procedures to ensure operational excellence and regulatory adherence.

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform painting and maintenance tasks on reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules for the hospital.
  • Complete contractual documents to accurately allocate costs related to maintenance works on site.
  • Submit monthly accurate stock counts and undertake Competent Person responsibilities for specified systems.
  • Ensure all services comply with Project Agreements, legislation, statutory requirements, and Health Technical Memoranda (HTM).
  • Provide technical support and guidance to staff, Engineering Supervisors, and Trust Officers, fostering teamwork and skills development.
  • Represent Hard FM in working groups for compliance with Health and Safety legislation, maintain strong communication with Trust managers, and ensure safe working environments and procedures.

What You Bring:

  • Self-motivated and able to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Confident and logical under pressure but must understand urgency and respond accordingly.
  • Attend internal and external courses as required.
  • Good understanding of Health and Safety at Work Regulations.
  • Reporting writing skills.
  • Must be able to demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills with a good level of mathematical skills.
  • Relevant driving license.
  • Demonstrating maturity in working with multi-disciplined trade groups

Desirable:

  • Previous experience within a Health Service context 
  • Any specialist knowledge relevant to the health care environment
