Painter and Decorator

Job Introduction

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Painter and Decorator to join the Sodexo team based at AZ Macclesfield. This is a full time position reporting to the Customer Service Manager.  You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of a professional painting and decorating service across all functions at Macclesfield Campus within a pharmaceutical environment.

Role Responsibility

 

  • Provide a quality painting and decorating service ensuring the highest level of standards
  • Liase with clients, customers and colleagues to carry out painting, deorating and general maintanance activities
  • Assess tasks and produce quotations in line with company procedures
  • Determine the most cost effective approach to achiveving a durable quality finish
  • Carry out preparation, rapair and application of finishing produtcs as required
  • Produce risk and method statements for own work
  • Operate and maintain various power and manual tools
  • Order paint supplies and materials
  • Clean up job site after work and return equipment and tools in a clean and safe state
  • Maintain a clean work environment
  • Ensure work orders are completed within specified timescales and closed within designated systems in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to company and client policies and procedures

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate must have extremely high standards as well as having good interpersonal skills and be able to adapt to change and proactively seek opportunities to assist in developing the service to our client. Ideally you will have experience in a similar role and be able to build a sound relationship with clients and your peer group.

Ideally you will be able to use access equipment such as ladders and podiums, in line with the company procedures.
