Nutrition and Dietetics Manager

Job Introduction

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Nutrition and Dietetics Manager, this is a 12 months FTC role to cover maternity leave in the team. This is effectively a home based role and would suit someone based around the Midlands as you will travel to hospital sites all over the UK. . As Nutrition and Dietetics Manager you will provide nutrition and dietetic insight and expertise to the development of excellence in the Tillery Valley product, service, support offering and market place engagement as a valued and respected leader in nutrition.

You need to be HCPC UK registered and a member of the BDA. You will have a demonstrable solid track record working in nutrition and dietetics and have the ability to hit the ground running. You must be flexible to travel and ideally currently work in a commercial environment however we will consider all backgrounds. The role comes with an attractive salary plus company car.

 

Role Responsibility

  • Provide dietetic and nutritional input and support the development of communication, education and training materials within the overall marketing mix for Tillery Valley.
  • Attend all Tillery Valley sales and marketing team meetings, regional and divisional meetings.
  • Develop effective working relationships with key hospital trust teams including but not exclusively dietitians, ward service staff, carers and nursing staff. Ensure regular visits with client and dietetic liaison in relation to dietetic issues to offer professional support to site-based hospital catering dietitians.
  • Provide input and assistance throughout a tender process by reviewing requirements in documents and the generating content for responses.
  • Develop standard Tillery Valley dietetic policy documents ensuring all of our customers are kept up to date with new legislation and hospital food standard recommendations.
  • Assist with new and existing product development, providing set nutritional standards and criteria to ensure all product amendments and new dishes are customer focused and market driven.
  • Attend relevant conferences, workshops and meetings of external organisations, read and review relevant industry, nutrition and professional journals and articles to maintain up to date knowledge of all relevant nutrition developments.
  • To develop effective working relationships with the sales, purchasing, technical and product development teams at Tillery Valley, providing nutrition and dietetic expertise and support on product and service development when required.

The Ideal Candidate

  • HCPC UK Registered Dietitian
  • Member of the BDA
  • Member of relevant nutrition and healthcare external organisations e.g. HCA, BDA Food Services Specialist Group
  • Broad and varied nutrition and healthcare experience working in various settings with a key interest in catering
  • Computer literate
  • Holds UK driving licence
  • Adaptable, flexible and happy to travel widely throughout UK

Desirable:

  • Commercial dietetic healthcare experience
