Job Introduction

HMP Addiewell opened in 2008 and is run by Sodexo under contract to the Scottish Prison Service with an emphasis on being a “learning” prison. Here residents can address their offending behaviour and the circumstances which led to their imprisonment through Purposeful Activity.

In support of this we are now seeking a Music and Radio Instructor to lead small group sessions educating residents in writing, playing and producing both music and radio broadcasts.

Working from our recently refurbished production suite you will guide learners in production using a number of software packages including Ableton Suite.

We are Ideally looking for someone with a passion and background in music and radio broadcast or podcast production that also has some experience in education, coaching or mentoring.

In addition to great benefits we can also offer the successful candidate an opportunity to gain a SQA qualification, royal school of music qualification (assessor awards) and enrol on a DJ course.
