Multi-skilled engineer

Job Introduction

Due to a new contract mobilisation are looking for a highly motivated and capable time-served Multi-skilled engineer to join our technical team on a manufacturing site in Wisbech. You should be of mechanical maintenance or plumbing background. Gas safety certificate, boiler maintenance or air handling equipment experience would be of great advantage. Previous experience operating in a factory environment would be highly beneficial.

As the site operates 24/7, this role will require some flexibility with occasional weekend work to complete maintenance or project works. The role will be contracted to a 40-hour week, offering salary of £26-30k dependant on experience and the usual Sodexo employee benefits.

Role Responsibility

• To work within one of the sites located on the Wisbech campus, might also be involved with the other buildings within campus on an emergency basis. Management of certain sub-contractors and any other specialist required to attend the site for engineering related reasons.
• To provide the service delivery in line with best practice, statutory and mandatory compliance and to the SLA’s for the site.
• You will ensure that all PPM’s and reactive tasks are completed within the allocated timeframes co-ordinating with the helpdesk for closures and extensions of tasks.
• To complete the day to day operation working closely with the sites senior electrical engineer and the campus GSM to ensure the client is fully aware of any maintenance activities that could impact the buildings operation.
• You will ensure that there are enough spares available to prevent service delivery failure. Carry out minor fabric repairs wherever possible.
• Capable of front-line fault reporting, able to provide quotations and act as stand-in for site engineer during holiday and sickness id requested.
• Weekend working, and on-call duty may be required to meet client’s operational requirements

• PASMA trained

• Understanding of CDM requirements
• Permit to work control including working at heights and hot works
• Gas safety trained/qualified
• Steam awareness or qualification
• Complete minor fabric repairs
