Multi-Skilled Mechanical / Plumbing Technician

Job Introduction

Sodexo Energy and Resources has an exciting opportunity for a Multi-Skilled FM Mechanical/Plumbing Technician to join our team in Aberdeen.

 

The Technician will provide full building maintenance and reactive services to the highest standards that meets the clients’ requirements/ expectations whilst ensuring continuous improvement and growth to the benefit of all parties.

Role Responsibility

  • Responsible for the service, maintenance, fault finding and repairs of a variety of H+V systems
  • Carry out Planned Maintenance Routines on a variety of heating & ventilation equipment in accordance with CIBSE building standards ensuring cost effective supply and control of spares
  • Record and maintain full maintenance reports.
  • Repair/replace defective equipment
  • Maintain good housekeeping safety and hygiene practices
  • Upkeep and compliance with risk assessments and safe systems of work
  • Order such spares and equipment as is necessary to maintain equipment availability whilst remaining within budget unless specifically authorised by client
  • Report all accidents, incidents, and injuries immediately
  • Report any substandard equipment immediately.
  • Observe all Company and Client safety rules/regulations
  • Oversee and assist visiting contractors within areas of own responsibility
  • Attend any meetings and/or training courses as may be necessary

The Ideal Candidate

  • A multi-skilled technician with a preferred bias towards mechanical or plumbing maintenance in the FM industry
  • A basic standard of education required with relevant craft/trade training essential.  City and Guilds or NVQ
  • Mechanical / Pluming background in installations or maintenance.
  • Ability to communicate efficiently with work colleagues, and customer service skills.
  • Working knowledge of the Environmental Policy.
  • PC literate
  • Clean Driving licence
  • Ability to adapt and meet frequently changing work environment internally and externally
  • Strategic thinker/planner, problem solver and innovator
