Mobilisation/Relief Manager
Job Introduction
We have an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager/Mobilisation Manager to co-ordinate operations (catering/soft services), due diligence and mobilisation activity to enable the teams to operate in line with the contract from day one. This will include working closely with operational teams to ensure all aspects of mobilisation are covered to the required quality, legislative and compliance standards. This role will also have a key interface with other support functions, ensuring that a collaborative approach is developed, and enabling smooth mobilisation of contracts in terms of systems, finance, health & safety and people. The opportunity is suited to individuals with strong leadership and engagement skills to support new colleagues through the transition period.
Role Responsibility
- Lead the successful implementation of a mobilisation plan for a new contract based at a prestigious independent school in Bristol, based on the requirements of the client and Sodexo to deliver against set objectives.
- Identify the required project resources and be the conduit between clients, the onsite team, and Sodexo SMEs, operations & business development.
- Proactively monitor progress, escalating risks and issues and implementing corrective action as appropriate, ensuring stakeholders and business teams are well briefed at all times
- Initiate extra activities and other management interventions wherever gaps in the programme are identified or issues arise as appropriate. Be prepared to take a “hands-on” approach to operational delivery if required
- Provide regular milestone reporting of programme progress to the Account Director
- Working with the finance team to define, monitor and regularly report the project budget
- Ensure an effective and orderly handover at the start of the new contractual term
- Ability to develop and maintain working relationships with key stakeholders
The Ideal Candidate
- Good knowledge of Sodexo legislatives systems and procedures, including but not exclusively, e-phrophit, ingenium, payroll, SAP, purchasing, HR, H&S and food safety, allergen legislation, DBS and safeguarding
- Be able to demonstrate knowledge of planning and monitoring techniques, including risk management, budget and resource allocation procedures.
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Tenacity so as to drive the delivery of outcomes in challenging client / organisational environments
- Ability to find innovative ways of solving &/or pre-empting problems
- Enthusiasm, passionate and creative with a strong appreciation of high quality food and service and be able to engage with customers on a daily basis
- Excellent interpersonal skills
