Mobile Supervisor
Job Introduction
We are looking for a mobile Supervisor to join our regional team in the Lancashire area, providing cleaning services to a variety of sites, including probation offices, and approved premises (AP). Therefore, the role includes working alongside the National Probation Service (NPS) in secure homes for ex-offenders, where the residents are on license from the prison service, making the transition back into the community.
This position offers a real sense of value and meaning as you work alongside a team whose aim is to support rehabilitation and help reduce re offending amongst the residents. It holds fantastic opportunities for career progression, overtime, and advancement.
The hours of work are any five over seven working eight hours a day as required. A typical day would be 7am-3pm however we need candidates that can be flexible to meet the business needs. The rate of pay is £10.50 per hour, paid monthly.
All training, uniform, and personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided to for you from day one on the job.
As part of the role, a work van and fuel card will be provided. Only candidates who have been driving for over two years and hold a full clean UK driving license will be considered.
Role Responsibility
To supervise the day-to-day operations and organisation of the cleaning service line
To support line managers in all areas as required and deputising as requested during any absence periods
To ensure that all areas are monitored and maintained in accordance with HSWA ,COSHH, Sodexo procedures and codes of conduct specific for contract
Complete and assist with any audits as specified by line manager
To maintain a clean and tidy work area at all times and lead by example, always ensuring the 3 checks for safety are followed by all
To follow all company polices and procedures in relation to driving and upkeep of company vehicle
To report any near miss occurrences, accidents or faulty equipment to management immediately
To ensure effective communication with line manager, team, customer and client organisation
To support the management of rota’s effectively, ensuring that all shifts are covered and any issues regarding attendance are escalated
To complete stock orders as and when necessary
To supervise the team fairly, administer training and drive engagement, encouraging use of available platforms whilst promoting and supporting local and contract wide initiatives
Manage waste in line with procedures and sustainability initiatives/targets
To support with Recruitment, Vetting, Induction Training and Development of new starters
To be an ambassador for Sodexo by ensuring positive behaviours, high standard of personal appearance and exceptional service delivery whilst carrying out your duties
Additional Ad-hoc Duties:
Deputise in Managers Absence
Complete Safety Walks at Site to minimum level
Any reasonable Management requests
Support in any mobilisations of new sites or projects
The Ideal Candidate
- Will be great at working independently and as part of a team
- Will be Reliable with excellent time keeping
- Will be customer focussed and display a polite and courteous manner, always
- Will be flexible and available to pick up additional hours, when required
- Will have some previous experience in a similar role and be familiar with COSHH (however, this is not essential, as full training is provided)
- Will have great initiative and be able to effectively prioritise their work
- Will have a full clean driving license and have held it for over 2 years
- Due to the nature of the environment we operate in, candidates must be 21 years of age or older
