Mobile Catering Manager

Job Introduction

In your role as Mobile Catering Manager at Sodexo and will be required to cover schools within the area of Bristol and South Gloucestershire, you will supervise the hospitality team at our esteemed schools, making sure that our vibrant meals are served with a smile and that the kitchen and restaurant are operating efficiently. As the person your team looks to for guidance and support, you will have an impact on their day-to-day life and in turn, create a lively, productive work atmosphere.  Join Sodexo and be part of something greater.    What you do:   

  • Supervise the arrangement and provision of hot and/or cold food from counters and steam tables
  • Supervise the restocking of food from counters and steam tables, as well as the breakdown of stations at the conclusion of service.
  • Oversee the chopping, seasoning, and cooking of fish, vegetables, meats, salads, soups, and other dishes.
  • Plan the menu, place supply orders, maintaining accounts and records when required (Must be Computer Literate)
  • Ensure that workstations and equipment are sanitised.
  • Travel as and when required to sites providing support

What you bring:

  • Capability to work for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours) in a standing position.
  • Professionalism, respect for others, and a positive attitude
  • Basic IT skill set
  • Fundamental food handling abilities
  • Possess prior experience supervising staff.
  • Possess excellent time management abilities
  • Previous experience in large scale cooking preferred however, not essential
  • Full UK Driving Licence required for this position and own vehicle required for this role.

Package Description

Do you have a strong love for cooking but dislike working on the weekends or late at night? Would you like to hone your management skills while working with different teams on a regular basis across many sites? If so, you should come work with us as a MOBILE CATERING MANAGER!

  • £15.00 per hour
  • 30 hours a week
  • Work schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Term Time just (40 weeks of work spread out over 52 weeks of payment)
  • A valid driver's licence and access to a car are prerequisites for this profession.

EVERY TRAVEL EXPENSES IS REIMBURSES

Retention bonuses for all associated mobile roles are as follows: £200 following a successful 12-week probationary period, and an additional £300 after 52 weeks of full-time employment in the role.

**Equated pay (sometimes known as spread-over pay) is a method of paying you for your contracted hours, working weeks and holiday pay spread over 12 months instead of just receiving pay during the months that you work and none during the school closures/non-working weeks. This means that you get paid equal amounts of pay every month. Further information will be supplied at interview stage. **
