Maintenance Planner

Job Introduction

As a Maintenance Planner at Pfizer Grange Castle, you play a vital role in supporting front-line maintenance technicians. Your responsibility is to ensure the efficient use of technician time by planning and executing the Shift Activity plan for each shift. This hands-on position emphasises the execution of the Preventive Maintenance programme and Planned Corrective Maintenance, with a focus on continuous improvement in a cGMP environment.

What you’ll do:

• Develop and execute the Shift Activity plan, optimising technician time

• Plan and schedule preventive and planned maintenance on manufacturing equipment

• Comply with site policies and procedures, ensuring safety and compliance

• Be the expert in the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) in a cGMP environment

• Collaborate with manufacturing for effective communication on plant equipment status

• Review and approve work by OEM suppliers and contractors

• Deliver training as per site procedures and review equipment spares holding levels

• Implement continuous improvement initiatives

• Report to the Facilities Manager and perform other duties as directed

What you bring:

• Experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of complex equipment

• Knowledge of cGMP and sterile area requirements for pharmaceutical clean rooms

• Understanding of SOPs, Change Control, and related GMP Engineering systems

• Proven track record in a planned maintenance system environment

• Professional troubleshooting experience and ability to support the technician team

• Keen interest in applying continuous improvements

• Knowledge of Condition-based monitoring of production equipment

• Trades/Diploma/Degree level education or equivalent experience

• Ability to work in self-directed groups

• Customer-focused with excellent communication skills

• Third-level Qualification in Science, Engineering, or equivalent (preferred, not essential)

• Demonstrate the GC OWNIT values.
