Maintenance Operative- HVAC Engineer

We are currently seeking a dedicated and dynamic Maintenance operative- HVAC Engineer to join our team and play a key role in driving excellence and innovation in Yeovil.

What you'll do: 

  • Diverse Maintenance Expertise: The maintenance engineer will work across a site with a variety of buildings and plant equipment of different ages, handling both internal and external systems.

  • Compliance and Safety Focus: Responsible for completing reactive and planned maintenance tasks, ensuring compliance with Sodexo policies, current regulations, and safe handling of asbestos-containing materials.

  • Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Requires the ability to research and collaborate with specialists to resolve complex client requests, often within tight timeframes to minimize impact on the client’s business.

  • Flexibility and Commitment: Must be prepared to work outside normal hours when required and support the wider Sodexo team proactively or upon request.

  • Cost Efficiency and Resource Management: Expected to contribute to the financial performance of the contract by effectively managing resources and reducing costs where possible.

  • Proactive Engagement: Positively participate in Sodexo initiatives, adapt to new working methods, and support team efforts beyond the primary role as needed.
