Job Introduction

Salary: £24,141.57 per annum
The role is full time position 40-hour per week, all mandatory training to be completed and Sodexo uniform and name badge to be always worn.
We are now looking to recruit a Maintenance Escort that can maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, visitors, and prisoners at HMP Peterborough. As you will be the first point of contact for contractors, so a high discretion needs to always be displayed and strict confidence to be maintained in all matters. You will need to be polite, positive and always behave in a professional manner.
The ideal candidate:
- All offers are subject to vetting and clearance checks.
- You must have a proactive approach to Equality and Inclusion.
- You will need to be able to perform tasks alone or in a team to a high standard without constant supervision.
- A proactive approach to Health and Safety.
- Good initiative as you will be working alone escorting staff, visitors, or contractors.
- You will need to have customer service skills.
- You must also have the ability to challenge inappropriate behaviour if needed.
- The ability to communicate and report any concerns, potential breaches of security or health and safety hazards,
Duties:
- You will need to ensure that contractors are always escorted from entry to exit throughout the day or night.
- Be a first point of contact for contractors.
- You will undertake duties as required which contribute to the effective operation of the prison.
- All visitors and employees will need to be treated professionally and politely by yourself.
- A model appropriate corporate behavioural standards including representing the establishment and the unit/department in a professional and constructive fashion.
- To work in accordance with all Sodexo policies and procedures.
- Carry out other reasonable work requests as requested.
- You must ensure processes and procedures will be followed.
