Logistics Manager

Job Introduction

We are currently looking for a Logistics Manager to join our Sodexo team over at Johnson & Johnson. Where you would be responsible for the management and delivery of all tasks within the Post Room and Staff Shop. 

You will have a customer focused approach, able to communicate efficiently at all levels and a keen eye for detail. Along with a thorough understanding of H&S requirements, compliance documentation and site logistics standards.

Role Responsibility

  • Enhance the mail room and services experience at site by assuring the efficient receipt, delivery, collection and dispatch of all postal activities - including, post, couriers, event items and all other forms of dispatch and receipt
  • Maintain inventory and order postal supplies and products as assigned
  • Oversee operation of equipment such as franking machine, authorised to use X-ray machine, wrapping and printing machine
  • Deliver a consistent level of service, within the Company's standards, to the contract specification and agreed performance, qualitative and financial targets
  • Comply with company and statutory regulations relating to safe systems of work, health & safety, hygiene, cleanliness, fire and COSHH - achieving a green safeguard audit
  • Be responsible for the constant and effective staffing levels in the post room and shop, ensuring all staff are trained and the department compliance tracker is completed
  • To maintain a smart and professional image at all times and provide all customers with an outstanding service and experience

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

  • A proven track record of experience within a mail room and logistics - operating franking, wrapping, printing and x-ray machines
  • Excellent customer service principles and practices
  • Knowledge and awareness of security and H&S regulations, and IOSH management safety training
  • I.T. literate - ability to use the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, able to interface at all levels
  • Team-player with strong time-management skills and the ability to multitask, and use initiative
