Logistics Coordinator- 6 months

Job Introduction

Sodexo Energy and Resources has an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Coordinator to join our Head Office in Central Aberdeen for six months.

 

The logistics coordinator is responsible for the effective deployment of employees to all offshore and onshore units and while ensuring effective communications with the managerial team (onshore and offshore) and Human Resources colleagues.

 

Role Responsibility

  • Accurately control the logistical movements of all offshore personnel and the onshore adhoc pool
  • Assist in the effective management of the Ad-Hoc, PRP & Downman pool
  • Update and monitor crewchange rotas and all offshore personnel trackers on a daily basis
  • Accurate and effective liaison with Operations Team (onshore and offshore) clients representatives, training agencies and Human Resources/Payroll colleagues
  • Liaise with client contacts to register personnel and to arrange flights to/from offshore
  • Ensure all manual and computerised records are developed, maintained and updated at the agreed intervals and in an accurate fashion
  • Ensure all staff comply with statutory and client specific guidelines and training
  • Book and register all medicals and internal training courses as per authorized training request forms
  • File all training and medical certification and confidential employee related documentation
  • Book travel and accommodation for personnel when required
  • Central role within the Emergency Response Team for exercises and real emergency situations
  • Update and maintain database of certificates, ensuring appropriate personnel are informed of renewal dates
  • Participate in the on-call rota, acting as the duty manager to deal with any out of hours issues

The Ideal Candidate

  • Knowledge and/or experience of offshore logistics work
  • Knowledge and/or experience of Competence, Training or HR Administration within the offshore industry would be advantageous
  • Experience in an administration role
  • Ability to accurately record, maintain and update records
  • Clear and effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Good organization skills, ability to prioritise and deal with a number of issues at the same time
  • Good IT Skills
  • Strong team player with a proactive approach to daily tasks
  • SAP experience advantageous but not essential
