Logistic Driver

Heritage Portfolio are looking for an enthusiastic Logistic Driver to join the Edinburgh Team. 

You would assist in the storage and distribution of goods to our sites for Heritage Portfolio Cafes, as well as private events and sites, packing and preparing jobs for distribution. With most work taking place in and around Edinburgh, West Lothian and Dundee, and your base will be North Fort Street, Edinburgh.

Role Responsibility

  • Ensure all logistics given tasks are in place and completed as requested
  • Support and adherence to all quality control measures, Health & Safety and Hygiene systems to the desired standard of Heritage Portfolio and client
  • Support the assistant manager in planning of days/ weeks work schedule
  • Pack orders as given by Assistant Manager- includes drinks stock and consumables
  • Drive company vehicles under the laws and rules of Heritage Portfolios expectation
  • To work as a team to promote harmonious working relationships within the Heritage Portfolio team
  • Report immediately any incidents or accidents, fire, theft, loss, damage, unsuitable offers and take such action as may be appropriate
  • Provide yourself as the Heritage Portfolio point of contact for logistics to site when delivering
  • Ensure all processes with regards to the security aspects of the building, stock, personnel and client's expectations are adhered to
  • Physical movement of equipment and food between sites
  • Safe delivery of equipment and food between sites

The Ideal Candidate

Essential - 

  • Minimum of 2 years driving experience
  • A competent communicator 
  • Evidence of being organised 
  • ability to work in a team of mixed abilities and personalities 
  • Good appearance and demeanour

Desirable 

  • Demonstrable experience in high-volume catering environment 
  • First aid and food safety qualifications 
  • High degree of dependability and self- reliance
