Loading Bay Manager
Job Introduction
We are currently looking to recruit a Loading Bay Manager to efficiently manage the Goods In operation for a high profile corporate client. This role is managing a busy high risk area and will require an organised and experienced individual to oversee the logistics and work with various teams to deliver a well-coordinated and safe operation.
Role Responsibility
- Efficient management of the Loading Bay area, coordinating a high volume of deliveries within tight time frames.
- Manage a team of 3 ensuring that your team are able to operate in a safe working area
- Work with different department leads and suppliers to ensure an efficient operation
- Manage the overall operation including maintenance, health & safety and legal requirements.
- Ensure service is delivered to a high standard as per service level agreement, company policy and current legislation.
- Implement and maintain the Statutory and Company standards of hygiene, health and safety and take any action as is necessary.
The Ideal Candidate
- Similar experience in a warehouse, loading bay or construction environment
- Excellent team management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Understanding and knowledge of statutory compliance requirements within a loading bay operation
- Well organised and proactive in a busy and varied role
- High attention to detail
- NEBOSH ideal, IOSH minimum and health & safety qualifications
