Lifecycle Funding Proposal Lead

Job Introduction

We have an exciting and interesting opportunity to join our Sodexo team based within our DWP contract as the Lifecycle Funding Proposal Lead. As the Lifecycle Funding Proposal Lead, you will work alongside the Asset Managers to develop funding applications for the Department of Work and Pension’s comprehensive spending review. You will analyse asset information and past investment approaches to develop a structured and data led business case to support the request for additional funding. The role will involve you providing well written reports and bring together evidence to support the justification for additional funding along with narrative to support the approach, delivery method, and outcomes.  

You’ll have extensive knowledge of writing detailed and persuasive reports and be able to accurately analyse data. This is a position which will allow you to showcase your project and stakeholder management skills

Role Responsibility

  • Develop and write a funding request business case using empirical data to support ongoing efforts to replace assets reaching the end of their service life. Utilize existing data sources to draw trends and develop a compelling case to support the narrative. 
  • Develop well worded and persuasive prose to explain the need for the investment. 
  • Attend meetings with Client stakeholders to understand the requirements of the approach to be taken, and brief them on progress and explain details within the document. 
  • Liaise with other stakeholders within the contract team and Client to ensure all aspects of the business case is evidenced and accurate, with no duplication within other functional areas. 
  • Work within the timescales of the predefined programme. 
  • Attend review sessions to develop and improve the document. 

The Ideal Candidate

Required 

  • Strong written and numerical skills
  • Experience of writing documents at executive level 
  • Demonstrable experience of life cycle/investment planning 
  • Experience in writing business cases/funding requests 
  • Good data and analytical skills 
  • Experience working within large and complex real estate, ideally public sector 
  • Ability to work across functions and with client to achieve outcomes 
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills 
  • Attention to detail, quality driven approach 

Desirable 

  • Degree qualified 
  • Asset Management or related qualification 
  • Understanding of end to end asset life cycle and associated activities
