Kitchen Staff for The Stables Kitchen at Hopetoun House - Full Time and Part Time

Job Introduction

Heritage Portfolio are currently looking to add a Kitchen Assistant to their team at The Stables Kitchen in Hopetoun House. The Stables Kitchen is a clever and sensitive restoration of the 18th Century Adam Stables transformed into a comfortable and cosy eatery, complete with a delicious contemporary menu. Only a few miles from Edinburgh, you can escape to another world and soak up the relaxed atmosphere within a spectacular setting.

Role Responsibility

  • To perform a variety of tasks associated with food production, front of house services, and any general support required with due regard to all Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations

  • Dealing with food deliveries 

  • Assist in general cleaning of the kitchen, maintaining high standards of hygiene

  • Provide high quality service to customers and client in line with a food service offer that is applicable to sector and client

  • Assist/work in pot wash area to cover the duties of cleaning 

  • Adhere and monitor all health and food safety, in a proactive way

  • Work with product and customer service teams to develop ongoing culinary vision

The Ideal Candidate

  • Good food knowledge

  • Managing Safely

  • Food Safety or Local/International Equivalent

  • Guest relationship skills

  • Food/Recipe knowledge

  • High Presentation Skills

  • Calm and patient under pressure

  • Able to work within a very busy and stressful environment

  • Overall a passion for food

  • Demonstrative customer focus and service skills

Own transport is essential as the site is not supported by public transport or must live local.
