We put our dedication to fabulous food in the spotlight, to showcase what our talented team can do, and we are looking for Kitchen Porter to join us at Emirates Lounge Manchester Airport

You’ll be playing a big part in keeping the kitchen hygienic, safe, and up to our very high standards of cleanliness. The industrial dishwasher will be your responsibility and you’ll be helping to transport, store and dispose of goods throughout your shift.

A few things about you

You'll have strong communication skills, and attention to detail second to none!

Experience as a Kitchen Porter isn't essential, what does matter to us, is taking pride in what you do. You'll also need a willingness to learn as there will be many opportunities to grow and progress your career with Sodexo!

Role Responsibility

  • Ensure that the Company's and statutory regulations regarding hygiene, safety, and cleanliness are complied with and all tasks undertaken according to Safeguard
  • Ensure the cleanliness standards of presentation of the back of house, front of house and all storage areas are excellent at all times
  • Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment to maximize efficiency & prolong life 
  • Clean allocated pieces of heavy catering equipment using instructions and cleaning materials including air filter and extraction systems.
  • Operate industrial dishwashers in all catering areas
  • Transport provisions, equipment and other catering related items as required

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience working in a kitchen
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A flexible “can do” attitude
  • The ability to multi-task within a fast paced environment
  • Good understanding of customer care
  • Able to provide 5 year employment referencing

Package Description

  • 37.5 - 40 hours per week 
  • £10.50 per hour 
  • Shift work - 2 x early 5am - 13.30 and 2 x late 13.30 - 22.30
  • 4 days on 2 days off
