Kitchen Porter

Job Introduction

As a Kitchen Porter at Sodexo at The Amex Stadium, home to Brighton and Hove Albion FC, you are also a helping pair of hands and a strong multi–tasker. What you’ll do:   

• Clean and sanitize equipment and workstations 
• Serve and replenish food from counters and steam table and break down stations at the end of meal periods 
• Interacts with customers in the serving, retail, and dining areas   
• Assist with deliveries and replenishing stock

What you bring: 

• Positive attitude, professionalism and respect for others 
• Basic food-handling skills 
• Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours) 
• Willing to learn new skills

No previous work experience required

Role Responsibility

• Have excellent levels of personal hygiene and presentation standards
• Be consistently punctual for all scheduled shifts
• Follow the company and legal responsibilities of a food handler
• Ensure the cleanliness standards of presentation of the back of house, front of house and all storage areas are excellent at all times
• Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment to maximize efficiency & prolong life 

The Ideal Candidate

• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Being friendly yet professional
• Being a team player with an ability to resolve conflict and take criticism
• Good attention to detail and punctuality
• Being proactive is key
• Experience within a hospitality, catering setting

Package Description

• Monday-Friday including Match Days 
• £10.42ph paid weekly
• Very close to transport links
• Annual leave April - April. 20 days per calendar year which increases with service
