Job Title: Junior Accountant
Location: Prestige Support Centre, Epsom, Surrey

Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 dependent on experience
Hours: Full time, Monday - Friday (2 x days home based).

Reporting to the Finance Manger:

The role of Junior Accountant is to deliver accurate management accounts for the Franchise businesses. Partnering with the Franchisees and Internal stakeholders to deliver support in line with the Franchise agreement. Manage the overall day-to-day finance function of Franchise business.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage month-end processes, reconciliations and reviews.
  • Produce bespoke reports when required.
  • Provide insight and analysis to support the budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Support the Internal and external auditors with testing.
  • Carrying out the weekly invoice and  member pay run.
  • Ensuring that the monthly consolidated invoices are sent out on time.
  • Dealing with Sales Ledger and Payroll queries when required.
  • Carrying out ad hoc Purchase Ledger duties.
  • Assisting with general accounts
  • Provide best in class customer service to the Franchisees and all internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide holiday cover for the Prestige Nursing and Prestige Scotland Accountants.
  • Work flexibly to meet business deadlines

Key Factors to success:

  • Have a good knowledge of excel.
  • Studying for a professional accountancy qualification (e.g. CIMA, ACCA, ACA, AAT)
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Good communication skills both written and oral.
  • Demonstrate high degree of confidentiality.
  • First class customer service

Skills and qualifications we're looking for:

  • Computer literate with a very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Team player
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Ability to converse effectively with customers and branch managers.
  • Possess excellent organisation and prioritisation skills.
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Studying for a professional accountancy qualification (e.g. CIMA, ACCA,ACA, AAT)
