Intelligence Manager

Job Introduction

The Intelligence team is a crucial part of the security operation and the Manager needs to balance a number of priorities, inputs, sources, contacts and reports to contribute significantly to the smooth, safe and secure management of the site.

Role Responsibility

Reporting to the Head of Security, key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a range of formal and informal, internal and external relationships
  • Ensuring all data/information received is assessed, analysed, weighted, balanced and – if necessary – escalated rapidly
  • Managing a small team of analysts and a permanently seconded Police Officer
  • Regular reporting on security issues – past, present and future
  • Ensuring compliance and contribution to regulatory and contractual frameworks – such as NIF, OPN, RIPSA etc

The Ideal Candidate

Experience required:

  • Previous employment in a security/intelligence environment – including but not limited to the Prison Service, the Police, Drug Enforcement or the Military
  • Team management / leadership
  • Strong analytical bias
  • Strong awareness, or qualifications related to, ANCAPA, RIPSA and Crime Pattern Analysis

Personality and attitude are at least as important as experience however and the personal qualities we require include:

  • Ability to work under pressure; think clearly and act decisively
  • Comfortable with ambiguous data, capable of isolating relevant information from various sources
  • Resolute, confident, calm
  • Strong listening, communication and presentation skills.
  • Able to manage and inspire a team

Package Description

£31,000 - £34,000 plus excellent benefits (including free meals and parking, group discount schemes and pension with 28 days holiday)
