Job Introduction
IT Network Engineer
As a Network Engineer for Sodexo, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our large, complex infrastructure, ensuring our network services and products meet our varied business needs. You'll work on diverse projects, from implementing new network technologies and supporting our data centres, to securing our estate alongside our InfoSec team and maintaining compliance to industry best practices. In our experienced, trusted team you will be able to develop your knowledge in a challenging environment, taking on new responsibilities to experience something new every day.
What you’ll do:
- Maintain and manage our IT networking infrastructure and systems to industry-leading standards
- Identify and resolve technical issues relating to network integrity
- Monitor data traffic and control network resource performance to ensure availability of network services, as well as ensure the business has stable, performant and secure systems to complete their BAU activities
- Cooperate with other IT teams to deliver projects, including configuring new servers, switches, routers and more
What you bring:
- Proven experience with local area network technologies, including switching, routing, firewalls, wireless etc. in a complex corporate environment
- Prior work with advanced network concepts such as SD-WAN, network segmentation & VLANs
- Excellent understanding of network security
- DNS and DHCP configuration knowledge
- Full UK driving license - travel to Sodexo sites will be required
