IS&T Network Engineer

Job Introduction

IST Network Engineer 

The IST Network Engineer proactively supports and maintains infrastructure that underpins production services following IS&T governance, policy, and processes for their domain. You will support solutions within their domain in line with controls, standards, policies, procedures, and quality levels.

The Successful candidate will follow the mandated technical solution delivery process supporting and/or participating in all aspects of the service lifecycle (SDLC & TDA), to meet technical specifications, standards, and quality. You will maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, service partners and suppliers, aligned with IS&T, controls, policies, procedures, and standards for their domain.

Build Responsibilities

  • For all responsibilities follow mandated controls, governance, policies, procedures, and standards
  • Collaborate with domain functional specialists, project managers, and key business SMEs for the delivery of infrastructure services within domain.

Run Responsibilities

  • Proactively monitor alerts, queues, logs and take appropriate action including ITSM recording of incidents
  • Troubleshoot and deploy fixes for SR’s, incidents, and problems, within SLA/OLA targets and quality standards
  • Support related domain teams with issues, incidents and problems, proposing secure solutions.

The Ideal Candidate

What you will bring

To be successful in this role, you will have exposure to working with Local Area Network technologies (including switching, routing, firewalls, wireless, etc.), advanced network concepts (such as SD-WAN, network segmentation, VLANS), and a strong knowledge of Network Security. Previous experience in a complex IT networks role is key to success.

You will have needed to have resided within in the UK for a minimum of 5 years to apply for this role to successfully complete security clearance..
