IS&T Head of Technical Operations

As the IS&T Head of Technical Operations at Sodexo's location in Salford, you are also a visionary leader and strategic thinker who can drive innovation and cost-effectiveness.
In this critical role, you will interface with multiple lines of business and IS&T functions, manage key relationships, and ensure secure and compliant delivery of infrastructure services. By proactively managing technical operations, addressing technical debt, and leading migrations to SDWAN and cloud platforms, you will help to deliver high-quality IT services and support the growth of Sodexo's business.

This position is based in our Salford office (2 days per week) with some travel to regional and international offices.
Role Responsibility
- Lead a programme of work to address technical debt and obsolescence across the estate.
- Manage teams of experts across a wide range of technologies in a transforming environment.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and information security compliance requirements. • Lead team through SDWAN and Move to Cloud migrations.
- Ensure a strategic role in the company organisation between IT and business.
- Be closely coordinated with the IT leadership team and its different activities, under the CIO leadership.
- Work in a global international environment, leveraging global skills, with specific focus on offshore delivery centres operated internally or outsourced.
- Able to work with different stakeholders at different levels of the organization from executive leadership to operational teams (IT, Business & Operations, External Vendors).
The Ideal Candidate
Essential
- Previous IT technology infrastructure leadership roles with a complex estate over 1000 sites, over 300 applications and 10 lines of business, operating in a global organisation with government contracts.
- Experience of working within a global vs regional organisational structure.
- SDWAN network and Cloud transformation experience.
- Network operations and network management experience.
- Delivering & managing Cloud infrastructure IaaS, PaaS, specifically Microsoft Azure.
- Full driving license.
- Security cleared.
Desirable
- Local area network technologies (switching, routing, firewalls, wireless).
- Infrastructure security knowledge and experience.
- Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery experience.
- Network Management and Operations experience.
- Server, Virtualisation, Cloud, Storage and related infrastructure experience.
- Azure Cloud Certified, Cisco Networks Certified.
