Housekeeping Manager

Job Introduction

Alderley Park is a leading pharmaceutical bio site with a strong focus on the research and development of new drugs. The housekeeping team are responsible for delivering a 5* cleaning service according to area and customer needs. This includes the responsibility for the day to day cleaning of general areas, toilets, kitchen hubs, offices, laboratories, general waste removal, recycling and deep cleans.

Role Responsibility

  • Design and implementation of cleaning schedules
  • Provide estimates for new and additional business for clients and customers
  • Adhere to all standard operating procedures (SOP) and work instructions.
  • Participate in level 1 and 2 audits/performance checks alongside client and line manager and escalate any issues/complaints to the Food and Soft Services Operations Manager.
  • Complete all necessary training and development.
  • Management of day to day housekeeping resource across site including holiday planning
  • Daily management of housekeeper and supervisor efficiencies
  • Have a flexible working pattern to accommodate operational needs
  • Responsibility of the time management system, Kronos
  • Build relationships with colleagues and key scientists/customers and APL tenants. Providing excellent customer service and service structure to the department.
  • Undertake all required training in relation to all aspects of the cleaning service delivered to the client, as requested.
  • Deliver team training and team PDRs in accordance with company requirements.
  • Attend team meetings when required.
  • Use online computer systems in accordance with delivering our services.
  • Undertake specific training on the relevant cleaning offer.
  • Wear where applicable any items of personal protective equipment, as specified.
  • Comply with all client policies / procedures in relation to housekeeping / infection control / security.
  • Ensure that all requirements in relation to COSHH are adhered to.
  • Adhere to the site/cleaning offer and colour coding policy.
  • To report all faults in relation to cleaning machinery/equipment and building defects
  • Call out responsibility along with line manager
  • Be the single point of contact for the Customer Operations Managers
  • Responsible for the service development of the housekeeping department
