We’re Hiring: Domestic Cleaner / Assistant (Healthcare)

About the Role

As a Domestic Cleaner/Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness across healthcare settings. Your work will directly support patient care and contribute to reducing the risk of healthcare-associated infections.

  • Hours: 31.5 hours per week

  • Pay: £12.51 – £22.89 per hour

  • Shift Pattern:

    • Week 1: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

    • Week 2: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver routine and ad-hoc cleaning tasks to a high standard

  • Ensure patient areas are safe, hygienic, and welcoming

  • Replenish consumables (soap, towels, toilet rolls, etc.)

  • Safely handle cleaning equipment and materials in line with COSHH regulations

  • Provide excellent customer service with compassion and professionalism

  • Work as part of a supportive healthcare and Sodexo team

What You’ll Bring

Experience in cleaning/domestic services (healthcare desirable)
A caring, positive, and professional attitude
Good communication skills with patients, visitors, and colleagues
Physically fit and able to meet role demands
Commitment to infection prevention and high service standards

Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ in Healthcare Support Services, BICSc CPSS) are desirable but not essential.
