Hotel Manager
Job Introduction
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Hotel Manager to lead the team at one of our corporate sites based in Aberdeen. The hotel is a member only facility, with extensive conference and meeting space, sports & leisure centre, high class bar & restaurant and private dining, and 22 bedrooms. This challenging role requires a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with excellent organisation and planning skills and confidence in dealing with clients, management, and staff at all levels.

Role Responsibility
- Lead and manage a team of service managers to the agreed standards ensuring that the client receives services of the highest quality
- Support the General Services Manager in the development of business strategy in line with current and emerging client needs
- To have a strong understanding of the service offer contained within the client contract
- To act as the operational interface between the General Services Manager and department heads
- Liaise with client and customers, developing strong working relationships
- Monitoring and controlling of financial performance of the hotel in line with agreed budgets
- Be innovative and resourceful to delight the hotel members resulting in increasing the penetration rate
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous hotel management experience
- Proven leadership and line management skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team
- Experience in management of multiple stakeholders
- A high level of operational and support experience, including running weddings, VIP events, etc.
- Good standard of literacy and numeracy, sound financial acumen
- Competent IT skills including MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers, clients, and staff at all levels
- Ability to work well under pressure managing multiple workloads
- Self-motivated with a sense of own initiative
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Demonstrable organizational abilities, including managing multiple conflicting priorities, workloads, and deadlines
- Communication Skills - Required to communicate either orally, in writing or by presentation with clients, management team, colleagues, staff and all support services, including contractors
- Develop productive working relationships with all stakeholders that enhances the professional reputation of the hotel
- Functional interface with colleagues within the wider Sodexo organization will be required in various forms (face to face, via phone, video conferencing and electronic messaging)
- Continuous professional development in industry

- Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate
- IOSH Managing Safely Qualification or Equivalent
Package Description
£38,000 + depending on experience
