Hospitality and Events Manager

Job Introduction

As a Hospitality & Events Manager at Sodexo, NBCUniversal, London, you are also a creative leader and service excellence champion. In this role, you will lead our team to deliver exceptional hospitality and events services, ensuring every customer experience is memorable. What you’ll do: 

  • Manage food and health and safety standards and quality across all areas of the building.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to create and develop new menus daily.
  • Maintain Sodexo standards in service methods, production, presentation, and cleanliness.
  • Minimise wastage within the kitchen and implement ideas for reducing wastage.
  • Organise, deliver, and follow up on events at NBCUniversal, liaising with clients to meet specifications.
  • Control hospitality bookings with chefs and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth event operations.
  • Ensure the coffee shop and CC shop operate within contractual constraints.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and statutory regulations, including health and safety, hygiene, and fire safety.
  • Ensure all staff are adequately trained and skilled, maintaining an up-to-date Standards of Procedure Manual.
  • Prepare and manage the kitchen rota, ensuring all shifts are covered in line with business objectives.

What you bring:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, ideally in a corporate or prestigious environment.
  • Passion for delivering great service.
  • Experience leading and developing a team within a catering and events environment.
  • Good financial awareness and strong management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer focus.
  • Proactive and highly organised with great attention to detail.
  • Good use of the English language (written and spoken).
  • Computer literate, including Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
