Hospitality Staff - The Open Golf Championships 2024

Job Introduction

1711 (Sodexo Live!) are currently recruiting for Hospitality Staff, to join us at this year’s Open Championship, taking place at Royal Troon Golf Club in July 2024. This is a prestigious event in the golfing calendar, and one many look forward to each year. Situated on the beautiful Ayrshire coast, Troon is the host city of the 152nd Open, when it returns for the first time since 2016 and it promises to be another phenomenal year of golf.

We are currently looking for individuals who possess strong interpersonal skills, a positive work ethic and a willing approach to tasks. You will be a bubbly, enthusiastic and personable individual who has a desire to deliver the best customer service to contribute to the guest’s incredible Hospitality experience.  

Please note that you must be available for the full duration of the event, from Tuesday 16th July - Sunday 21st July 2024 inclusive and be flexible to work between the operational hours of 6.30am – 22.00pm, on either an early, mid or late shift.

We are currently recruiting for the following roles:

• Plate Waiters
• Wine Waiters
• Bar Staff
• Food & Drink Runners

The rate of pay for all above roles, for this event, will be the Real Living Wage of £12 per hour.

To be successful with us, we are looking for the following attributes:

• Strong customer service skills and ability to converse with guests
• Excellent team player
• Ability to listen to instruction and act efficiently when completing tasks
• Eagerness to learn new skills
• Exceptional eye for detail
• Ideally some previous experience in the food & beverage industry
