Hospitality Executive Supervisor / Butler

About the Role

You’ll be a role model when it comes to what great service will look like. You’ll assist with the preparation and serving of our vibrant dishes, ensuring that all areas of the restaurant are kept sparkling.

You’ll be championing food hygiene and safety whilst helping us create special moments and magical experiences for our customers!

As this is a customer facing role, your infectious smile and helpful attitude will certainly tick the boxes. You’ll also work as part of a team, so strong communication skills are key.

Your organisation skills and ability to prioritise tasks must be second to none, as in this role you’ll need to adapt to different tasks.

Role Responsibility

  • Excellent communication skills. Performing all duties with decorum, tact and unwavering professionalism.
  • IT skills required. Comfortable managing a booking system and diary. Emails and written communication skills a must.
  • Bridge link between catering departments, including kitchen brigade, ensuring provisions are ordered in a timely manner.
  • All dietary information and requirements plus documentation is captured. Information is clear at point of delivery.
  • All catering due diligence is managed according to Sodexo policies. Temperature controls and equipment checks are documented in the hospitality environments.
  • Arrange table planners, seating arrangements, printed menus and itinerary agendas. Impeccable organizational planning skills. Must clearly delegate and motivate a team to deliver excellence.
  • Be able to show the ability to multi-task and respond effectively to last minute requests, providing clear communication to relevant teams.
  • Prepare and deliver service briefs to ensure the smooth running of services.
  • Good knowledge of cookery, wines and service styles.
  • Manage wine and stock. Comfortable placing orders and planning in advance according to agenda.
  • Good housekeeping and care of expensive equipment, fine dining equipment etc is managed and organised.
  • Understand a wide range of topics relating to dining, event planning and hospitality setups.
  • International etiquette is maintained personally, and behaviours are monitored within the team.
  • Shift rotation is maintained and that all assigned areas is always manned.
  • Daily checks on all facilities throughout executive floors are monitored and managed. This ranges from dining areas, facilities and storage areas.
  • Print and create all reports and menus for catering operation on a daily/weekly basis, collate data for monthly reporting
  • Deliver and promote Continuous Improvement and best practice
  • To ensure that the meeting rooms/ board rooms are monitored and checked throughout the day. Refresh and clearing after each meeting or visit.
  • All area are clean, tidy and correct throughout the day.
  • Room service provisions are promptly delivered and maintained throughout the day.
  • Prepare for next day visitors, plan passes, times they arrive, destination/ client hosting and special requests.
  • Assist catering operation including serving refreshments.
  • Stationary outlets are stocked and maintained. Requisitions for new stock placed in advance.
  • Aware of food safety documentation required and complete/support completion as required.
  • Complete all records and audits as directed accurately and in timely manner.
  • Report any complaints, compliments, incidents of accident, fire, theft, loss, damage, unfit food or other irregularities to line manager, taking appropriate action where practicable
  • To action all e-mails sent to the functional e-mail account and reply in a professional, courteous and timely manner to all e-mails received.
  • Dairy is managed daily and any requests responded to promptly.
  • Cross trained on all aspects of the Steward/Hospitality services Sodexo provides on the Shell London campus Contract and able to provide support when required as well as understanding the scope of the Business Services and wider FM provision. Actively support and promote the “One Team” ethos of working and supporting between departments
  • To organise any special functions as required, some of which may occur outside of normal working hours and work closely with Catering FOH Manager in delivery of required 5* service.
  • Comply with all Company and Client policies and procedures, statutory regulations relating to your workplace, this will include but not limited to fire; health and safety; hygiene; working safely; COSHH. Ensure the safety and security of company and client property
  • To attend on-site training /Huddles where necessary and keep up to date with legislation and company policy procedures
  • Any other reasonable task as required by management team or client

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience of working in a similar service environment via a multi-skilled workforce to blue chip organisations or within prestige environments with a strong focus on customer service
  • Good knowledge of cookery, wines and service styles.
  • Fine dining Experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and to able communicate clearly and concisely on all levels, excellent customer care skills
  • Highly presentable and personable
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Good IT skills and knowledge
  • Proactive attitude and approach
  • Ability to rapidly adjust to his/her work scheme and priorities to be able to adjust to a very dynamic work environment
  • Audio Visual and Events coordination

 

Package Description

30/34k depending on experience 

40 hours (Mon - Fri) 

Overtime paid/ evenings and occasional weekends
