Hospitality Assistant Manager

Job Introduction

The primary purpose of the role is to coordinate all hospitality and events at Toyota EcoHQ in Burgh Heath. The Hospitality Manager must organise plans with clients and be accountable and responsible for the complete organisation of hospitality. Key liaison with the operations team to ensure the smooth running of the day, Ensure that first-class customer service is delivered throughout the process. Act as the primary Representative of Sodexo within their defined operating area by the effective management of both hospitality and event services to ensure that all units deliver

What you’ll do: 

  • To ensure all hospitality catering services exceed customer expectations.
  • Has location-specific knowledge of food and wine and develops the Food and Beverage offering/menu in conjunction with the Head Chef and Catering Manager.
  • Completes and implements strategic research programs by guidelines.
  • Directs the department's overall communication efforts to ensure internal guest understanding and compliance and external guest experience.
  • Maintains a strong relationship with clients during the coordination, execution, and evaluation stages of services.
  • Provide direct liaison with client and customer to ensure clear communications of each party’s needs and expectations.
  • Respond to all customer comments positively and take appropriate follow-up action, turning any negative customer experiences into positive ones.
  • Ensure the delivery of catering services is as advised to standards set within the business
  • Knowledge of all site products and the ability to advise the customer professionally and helpfully.
  • Act as post-event client liaison to ensure all aspects of feedback are reacted upon or resolved.
  • Retain and record critical account information.
  • Must take ownership of all collateral relating to the hospitality operation.
  • Ensure an excellent relationship with all internal delivery departments
  • Provide direction and expertise to the operating area by promoting Sodexo strategies and best business practices to uphold the company mission and values
  • Motivate and lead a high-performing team to achieve their objectives and the Sodexo strategy
  • Operational management of Sodexo’s accounts, ensuring that the Client receives services of the highest quality. 
  • To provide excellent customer service, perform the preparation, presentation and service of food and beverages to the client & Sodexo’s satisfaction

What you bring:

  • Strong level of literacy and numeracy
  • Computer literate
  • Experienced Assistant Manager who has operated in a multi-disciplined environment and a large, diverse team
  • Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Clear and compelling leadership style
  • Ability to analyse problems, develop opportunities and implement innovative solutions/approaches
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Able to demonstrate personal self-development and development of team
  • Demonstration of teamwork, implementing initiatives and working on own judgement and decisions
  • Change management and performance management experience
  • As with any operation, flexibility is a must, as the manager would have to work 5 days
  • Experience working in a similar industry, such as food service, catering, or hospitality.
  • Previous food handling experience

Hospitality Assistant Manager 

  • Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday - 07:30 to 15:30, (No Evening & Weekend Work)
  • 40 Hours per week
  • £14.50 per hour
