Reporting directly to the Managing Director of Tech & Services UK&I and functionally to the Global SVP of Health, Safety, and Environment, your impact will resonate throughout the organisation and beyond. You will be the cornerstone in ensuring that our operational practices enhance the quality of life for our clients and their customers, all while maintaining compliance and driving significant safety improvements.
About the role
- Drive Behavioural Change: Lead the central HSEQ team to achieve strategic objectives, foster a culture of HSE excellence, and embed a Zero Harm Mindset across various segments and sites.
- Ensure Safety in Operations: Integrate safety into all service delivery processes and standard operating procedures, ensuring a firm adherence to safety at all levels of operation.
- Maintain and Develop Management Systems: Oversee the accreditation and ongoing compliance of ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001, 22301), ensure lessons from incidents are shared, and maintain HSEQ management systems according to global and regional standards.
- Regional and Global Coordination: Manage regional reporting related to HSEQ and coordinate with both regional and global HSEQ teams to align strategies and improve safety protocols.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will be a Chartered Member of IOSH with a deep understanding of risk management in consumer services environments. You bring strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and personal confidence, which are crucial for effectively navigating our complex, matrix-based organisation.
You will come equipped with a well-established network within the HSEQ professional community. This allows you to leverage strategic partnerships effectively. Your experience at a senior level is substantial, including your proficiency in engaging and influencing board members and clients through various communication styles.
You are an inspirational leader, capable of articulating a clear vision and strategic direction at all levels of the organisation. Your broad leadership experience includes a proven track record of managing and developing successful teams. With advanced commercial acumen, you are adept at meeting and exceeding budget expectations.
