Health Care Assistant

Job Introduction

We are currently seeking a highly talented and driven person to work in the one of our Cork sites.

We are looking for someone with excellent organisational skills, the ability to prioritise their workload and have the ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences.

You will be working as part of a team but you will at times be expected to work independently and under your own initiative.

 

 

Role Responsibility

Purpose of the Role:  To ensure that all the individual needs of the patient in 24/7 care are dealt with promptly and efficiently whilst observing patient’s dignity and privacy according to the standards laid down by the client and Sodexo.

  1. Have full knowledge of all areas of the infirmary and all the individual needs of the patients.
  2. Administer medication in line with the company policy in pairs.
  3. Ensure that all temperature records and cleaning schedules are correctly filled in as trained.
  4. Ensure a full understanding on how to prevent cross- contamination of bacteria
  5. Ensure all patients are cared for, washed and fed and provided with necessary individual needs as trained.
  6. Bed linen changing.

The Ideal Candidate

1.Fetac Level 5 

2.Essential  CPR Training Frist Aid At least two years working in a careering environment 

3. Garda Clearance

Ensure a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance and general cleanliness to comply with statutory and Company regulations, wearing company uniform as specified 

Package Description

37.5 hours per week 

5 days over 7
