Sodexo Live! are seeking a high performing sales professional to become our Head of Sales for London. 

The focus of this role is to grow and develop our footprint in the London market by increasing our current event opportunities at the Royal Academy of Arts and The Wallace Collection as well as engaging with additional panel venues to expand our premium events catering presence and in turn achieve revenue budgets.

You will implement venue business plan strategies and ensure all derived actions are delivered upon. Generating revenue through robust customer account management, excellent venue partner relationships, local market presence through networking and exhibitions and a calendar of customer engagement events. 

Managing a team of proactive and reactive sales people, ensuring they are providing a motivating and exemplary customer experience at all touch points and driving great performance through the monitoring of KPI’s and standards

Working closely with the senior marketing manager to drive engaging content on all channels of distribution

You will also support our bid team on proposals for new turnkey venues as well as the sales mobilisation of any new contracts.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively search for new event business and accounts, strengthening relationships with these customers to drive profitable sales revenue into the portfolio to achieve annual budgets
  • Utilise the data available on company sales tools such as Salesforce and Priava in order to track venue performance, manage key accounts, assess growth opportunities and manage team performance  
  • Lead, guide and motivate the London sales and event design team
  • Compile and nurture list of prospect panel venues aligned with our ethos and capabilities and provide proposals to include detailed research and expected ROI figures
  • Mobilise the sales teams for new contracts, supporting the recruitment,  managing the embedding of processes, systems, KPI’s, SLA’s and sales competencies
  • Implement venue business plans and drive sales, marketing and operational actions in line with the venues business mix and budgets in order to keep the team focused and performance driven
  • Plan and deliver an annual sales activity calendar to include FAMs, cultivation events, exhibitions, networking and revenue driving activity.  Record and report ROI for all sales activities
  • Drive and execute targeted pro-active sales activities including outbound calls, appointments, site visits, conversion days etc
  • Undertake sales initiatives to drive revenue during underperforming periods to ensure this is addressed and actioned upon
  • Develop long lasting relationships with venue partner stakeholders and sales teams through regular engagement

 THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

To be successful in this role  you will have strong personal industry networking including corporates and agencies.   You must have a proven track record of sales and leadership experience in the events hospitality industry.  You will have a strong focus on customer relationship management and a passion for delivering exceptional service and results. You must also be proactive in finding new business opportunities, be an expert in networking and effective communication, and be able to develop and implement sales strategies that align with our brand and values. 

You will also have:

  • Experience of working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, be comfortable handling multiple projects and tight deadlines
  • Proven track record in the delivery of profitable sales
  • Proven track record in generating new business and key account management and growth, preferably in the MICE market
  • Detailed knowledge of the London events market
  • Experience of using a CRM system for data analyse and performance
  • The ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve results
  • Experience of   recruiting and training sales teams
  • Experience of financial reporting and commercial understanding
  • Excellent stakeholder management experience
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
