Head of Operational Assurance

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of individuals within the criminal justice system? Do you have experience in working with key stakeholders in a target focused environment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Head of Operational Assurance at HMP Peterborough.

As the Head of Operational Assurance at HMP Peterborough, you will be accountable for the development and completion of the establishment’s Contractual Delivery Requirements and the co-ordination and update of establishment business planning objectives. You will achieve this through ensuring information and outcomes on Contractual Delivery Requirements are collected and accountable to, within agreed deadlines, to ensure operational efficiency is maintained. While also providing leadership and direction for managers and staff within the defined work area through briefings, building formal and informal relationships and effective communication.

The Ideal Candidate

What we are looking for:

• Proven track record in contracts and performance management in a complex environment.
• Exceptional resilience, flexibility and drive with a positive attitude.
• Demonstration of key stakeholder management, with a clear understanding of key people management tools and resources.
• Demonstration of effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Evidence of an analytical approach to challenges with expert problem-solving skills.
• It would be advantageous to have some knowledge or experience of the criminal justice sector.

Whilst we are ideally looking for a candidate that meets most of the above, we would implore applicants who think they have the relevant transferrable skills to apply for this role, as you may still be a great fit and we wouldn’t want to miss you!
