Head of Corporate Social Responsibility

Job Introduction

Sodexo is seeking a experienced professional to join us as Head of Corporate Social Responsibility. In this role, you will be instrumental in spearheading social and environmental transformation within a dynamic environment, focusing on the development and execution of comprehensive CSR strategies at the University of Greenwich campuses. Your responsibilities will be pivotal in leading critical sustainability and social impact initiatives, managing diverse stakeholder relationships, and innovating in CSR practices.

As the driving force behind our Better Tomorrow 2025 (BT2025) roadmap, you'll align business strategies with our commitment to social responsibility, influence the company towards a sustainable and socially responsible future, and manage complex projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to foster a culture of collaborative progress within Sodexo and with our clients. We're looking for someone with extensive experience in CSR, capable of hitting the ground running and inspiring confidence in our clients and stakeholders. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring our CSR initiatives are not only successful but also deeply resonate with our community and stakeholders.

About you
You will be an exceptional individual who embodies the essence of corporate social responsibility within a global, commercial context. You should have a strong academic background, ideally with a relevant degree or master's degree, or considerable equivalent experience in a large corporate organisation. Your expertise should include managing diverse connections, networks, and teams across public and private sectors, including community-based organisations, non-profits, and civic leadership. 

A deep understanding of CSR norms, regulations, and best practices is essential, along with commercial acumen to identify risks and opportunities. We expect you to have the innovative skills to turn strategic plans into actionable business strategies, coupled with the communication prowess to effectively engage and inspire our entire organisation. Your track record should demonstrate success in leading complex multi-stakeholder planning processes and cross-team initiatives to fruition.

Your communication abilities must be top-notch, capable of distilling complex information into clear, audience-appropriate messages. A consistent record of building strong, effective working relationships, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels, is crucial. You should be adept at identifying and analysing problems, evaluating options, and employing sound decision-making skills. The ability to develop and present ideas and arguments clearly and concisely to various audiences is key. Moreover, you should excel in working collaboratively across the company to achieve group goals and objectives.
