Head of Bid Management

Role Responsibility
We are looking to create a new centralised bid team to ensure an efficient, agile bid process, this will allow us to work together across the sectors drawing on our capability as a business whilst driving best practise.
As the Head of Bid Management you will lead this high performance central bid production team. They are responsible for the tender production process for all Sodexo bids across the different segments; corporate services, healthcare, sports, leisure & travel and education. Adding value and effective support to the business development teams you will ensure all documentation is of a high standard and meets challenging timelines. You will be involved from the initial stages of the bid process, ensuring allocation of bid production resource and supporting team members with managing the bid production plan for each submission. You will manage the bid production team with overall direct management responsibility for the bid production leaders, senior writer, senior designer, bid managers. You will be responsible for managing the proposal review process prior to submission and will continually look to identify and implement process improvements to the bid function.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience in working with senior management to manage delivery of timelines and outputs
- Must have experience of working in a large corporate/business focused environment
- Excellent project management skills with strong focus on attention to detail, proven track record of successfully delivering multiple projects on time
- An excellent communicator with the ability to influence at a senior level
- Commercially aware with solid business development and financial management skills
- Confident, ambitious and energetic with a persuasive manner and the ability to use your initiative
- Relevant professional experience in project management including project management of new business development, systems and processes
- Proven capacity to effectively manage complex proposal development processes, as well as manage and mentor staff with various levels of skills and experience.
- Demonstrated achievement in the design and implementation of tender documents.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage complex tenders, precise scheduling and multiple and shifting priorities.
- Excellent proficiency in MS Office and Adobe
