Sodexo Live! has an exciting opportunity for an exceptionally talented hospitality professional to join us as Head Chef at the DW Stadium, the home of Wigan Athletic FC and Wigan Warriors RLFC.

As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for understanding our clients expectations, and demonstrate a high level of thought leadership in all culinary areas to deliver the optimum service.

MAIN RESPOSNIBILTIES

  • To design and deliver innovation at all times in our food service offers
  • To understand our clients and customers expectations and ensure our food offers are reflective of that
  • To maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the unit to the required standard
  • Be responsible for building long-term relationships with client(s) and managers that add value to contract and segment ambition
  • Own, define, maintain culinary development plans, as well as leading change management processes
  • Supporting contract Service Levels Agreements (SLAs) 
  • Maximise profitability within area of responsibility and deliver required financial and service level results
  • Lead, develop, manage and encourage direct and non-direct teams 
  • Act as a Sodexo Ambassador and champion for retention for Investors in People

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

You will be a proactive and empowered Chef with a creative approach to food and a passion for delivering exceptional experiences. You will have proven and extensive knowledge and experience of the premium restaurant sector and/or venues and the sporting market.   

You will also have:

  • Financial awareness and understanding of Profit & Loss accounts and cost controls
  • Excellent planning skills
  • Experience of managing a small team in varying situations
  • Ability to communicate at all levels and have excellent presentation skills
  • Multi concept / multi cuisine experience and an in-depth knowledge of food 
  • The flexibility to work 5 over 7 days when needed
