About the role 

We have an exciting opportunity available for an HVAC & Refrigeration Engineer to join our Technical Services Team in Aberdeen!!

Are you the person with the know-how to keep facilities running like clockwork? We currently have an opportunity for a HVAC & Refrigeration Engineer to support our onshore & offshore operations and maintenance of all our equipment and installations.

You’ll ensure that all compliance, including risk assessments, condition reports and guidance protocols are kept up to date to meet current standards and regulations.

• Carry out Planned Maintenance Routines on HVAC & Refrigeration systems in accordance with Sodexo UK&I procedures and current F-Gas regulations.
• Document all PPM’s / repairs on engineers report sheets and Select documents
• Repair / Replace defective  HVAC & Refrigeration  equipment
• Provide information to allow parts / spares and equipment to be costed / ordered as required to maintain plant and equipment.  HVAC & Refrigeration supervisor will quote minor projects/ maintenance and repairs
• Maintain good housekeeping safety practices
• Upkeep and compliance with Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work
• Provide on-call cover on a rotation basis
• Assist with technical support to other engineers within the team.
• Completing offshore trips to work on projects, maintenance and repairs

You’ll bring your flexible approach as the nature of work may require occasional offshore travel. You'll ensure that you complete and take responsibility of any task given and be able to work independently. 

A few things about you 

Required: Certified in safe handling of refrigerants city & Guilds 2079

You'll need basic knowledge and working history of the electrical controls on HVAC systems, working history with refrigeration engineering and knowledge of ISSOW permit work systems. Also experience in working with all types of ventilation systems including fire and shut off dampers.

• Time serviced Air Conditioning Engineer with relevant craft/trade training; City and Guilds or NVQ. Also certificate in safe handling of refrigerants
• Should have working knowledge of the Environmental Policy and good communication skills.
• Previous experience working in HVAC & Refrigeration Sector.
• Full BOSIET and offshore Medical are beneficial to the position.
• Ability to communicate efficiently with work colleagues and clients.
• Clean driving license.
• Ability to adapt and meet frequently changing work environment internally and externally
• Strategic thinker / planner, problem solver and innovator

There will be a requirement to join an on-call rota for evening and weekend call-outs, also a willingness to obtain offshore training and certification is essential.
