Your Role as an HSEQ Advisor
As the HSEQ Advisor for the MOJ East contractual region, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the safety and well-being of our staff and clients. You’ll champion a positive culture of Health & Safety across the business and use your expertise to provide solutions, advice, and support to the wider teams.
Specifically, you will be responsible for providing competent safety advice to managers and front-line staff, conducting audits to validate compliance with HSE and food safety standards, and supporting the implementation of environmental and sustainability initiatives. You will promote a zero-harm mindset, drive improvements in safety culture, and assist in achieving operational management targets. Additionally, you will act as a deputy for the HSEQ Manager when required, ensuring effective communication and support across the team.
Our 344 MOJ sites are split into two regions, East and West. This role covers our East region which encompasses the Northeast, Yorkshire, East and Central Midlands. The role will involve extensive travel across the different sites in the region to conduct audits and provide support. You will be provided with a company car and mileage allowance to compensate for the travel requirements.

The Ideal Candidate
This role would be great for someone who has experience in soft facilities management and is ready to step into their HSEQ career.
Essential:
- Full Driving Licence.
- Experience in managing safety in a soft FM service industry environment, such as cleaning or catering.
- Knowledge of HSE Legislation.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Level 3 Food Safety qualification.
- Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage workload effectively.
- Commitment to promoting HSEQ and zero-harm culture.
Desirable:
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent certification.
- Level 4 Food Safety Qualification.
- Demonstrated achievement of continuous improvement in the workplace.
- Membership of a facilities organization such as IWFM or IS.
