HSE Lead - EMEA Region

Job Introduction

Due to exciting internal move, a great opening has become available for a Health Safety and Environmental Lead to join our team with a pharmaceutical client account in the EMEA Region, based in Europe.

You should be qualified and highly experienced EHS professional with regional experience, excellent leadership and communication skills and great ability to influence and drive safety improvements across a large region. Background in Facilities Management and/or pharmaceutical field is highly desirable.

We offer a salary up to £74,000, a bonus, flexible benefits and excellent development and progression opportunities within the company. Please note that some international travel be expected once it is permitted and safe to do so.

 

Role Responsibility

  • Provide oversight and regional strategic leadership covering health, safety, risk management and business continuity across the Clients’ account.
  • To work with other regional HSE regional leads, global subject matter experts and account dedicated resource to support & advise the operational teams working on the Clients’ account in accordance with company procedures and agreed objectives (Sodexo and account specific). 
  • Actively work across the region as part of the Client Accounts’ senior leadership team. 
  • Develop, own & deploy an EMEA HSE strategy to ensure PIR (Permanent Inspection Readiness) across all sites for the Client’s account in co-ordination with Sodexo Group Health and Safety and Client’s EHS representatives.
  • Support and deliver key activities associated to the HSE strategy.
  • Manage day to day activities in the HSE Hub and ensure effectiveness.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Recognized Health & Safety qualification with proven track record in practical experience and significant recent experience in senior positions.
  • Background in pharmaceutical environment and/or facilities management - preferred. 
  • Extensive knowledge of Health & Safety law and current market conditions.
  • Auditing experience
  • Fluent English + other relevant major languages is an advantage
  • As this role interacts with senior client representatives, and senior Sodexo staff, excellent communications skills (verbal and written) are required, with an ability to recognise the values within different cultures and acknowledge different ways of working.
  • Ability to write persuasive and effective reports and communications, which clearly define findings and their causes, and recommendations made.
  • Must possess strong analytical skills and ability to systematically gather information from a variety of sources, analyze information, identify implications of data, draw appropriate conclusions, generate viable alternative solutions to a question or problem, and evaluate the consequences of choosing each alternative.
