We have an exciting opportunity as a HR Coordinator to join the Sodexo team based at HMP Altcourse.

You will be responsible for providing an effective, efficient and professional support and advice service to the operational management team; maintaining standards of integrity of the HR function at all times will be crucial, whilst delivering a responsive and client centred approach to service delivery.

Sodexo are responsible for 6 prison sites across the UK and Scotland and HMP Altcourse will be the newest addition to our portfolio! The Sodexo contract at HMP Altcourse will commence from June 2023.

Role Responsibility

  • To deliver the bid solution in a timely, safe, and decent manner, aligning to the milestones agreed as part of the Mobilisation Assurance Plan
  • To coordinate TUPE activity and ensure key milestones and deadlines are adhered to
  • This will include:
  • Working closely with the AWL/HRBP to develop the timetable for key HR and TUPE activity
  • Supporting the development of TUPE Measures statements and letters
  • Supporting the collation of information related to uniform and Right to Work as needed
  • Coordinating the timetable for group and 1:1 meetings with incumbent staff as needed and liaising with the incumbent team to book rooms etc
  • Briefing 1:1 managers to ensure 1:1s are professionally conducted, ensuring they are welcomed to site and set up to conduct scheduled meetings. Being on hand to answer questions and queries as they arise.
  • Working closely with the other workstreams to ensure key TUPE activity, timings and messages are understood
  • Working closely with the Communications Lead to ensure messages to incumbent staff are accurate and timely
  • Developing TUPE FAQs and means for incumbent staff to communicate with our People team
  • With the HRBP / AWL, coordinating resource from within Sodexo to support key TUPE activity
  • Working with the payroll, systems, people services teams to ensure that that transferring employees are set up and paid correctly
  • Supporting recruitment and selection activity where required
  • Supporting L&D activity where required
  • Supporting wider People tasks as needed
 
 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Knowledge of TUPE, preferably previous experience in the TUPE process
  • Highly organised and ability to plan effectively and able to work autonomously to deadlines
  • Proficient user of MS Office and experience of HR systems
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to drive results
  • Strong relationship management skills and network building
  • Excellent communication with internal and external stakeholders
